Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or web application. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels, which store or read information from your browser to support functionality, security, and analytics.

Georithm uses cookies and similar technologies within our hosted web application to keep you signed in, remember preferences, secure the platform, and understand how the product is used.

These cookies are required for the platform to function and cannot be switched off. They include:

  • Session and authentication cookies — keep you signed in and maintain your session with Supabase-backed authentication.
  • Security cookies — help detect and prevent fraudulent activity and abuse.
  • Load balancing cookies — route requests reliably across our infrastructure.
  • Consent storage cookies — remember your cookie preferences.

Because these cookies are essential, they do not require consent and cannot be disabled through the preference centre.

Analytics cookies help us understand how users interact with Georithm, including which features are used and how often, so we can improve the product. These cookies are non-essential and are only set after you provide consent.

Performance cookies collect information about page load times, errors, and technical performance to help us maintain a reliable service. These cookies are non-essential and require consent before being set.

Marketing cookies, where used, help us measure the effectiveness of communications and tailor messages about Georithm. These cookies are non-essential and are only activated with your consent through the cookie preference centre.

Preference cookies remember choices you make within the app, such as display settings or default map views, to improve your experience across sessions. Some preference cookies are strictly necessary for core functionality; others are non-essential and require consent.

  • Strictly necessary — purpose: authentication, security, load balancing, consent storage; typical duration: session to 12 months; consent required: no.
  • Analytics — purpose: understanding feature usage and product performance; typical duration: up to 24 months; consent required: yes.
  • Performance — purpose: monitoring load times and errors; typical duration: up to 12 months; consent required: yes.
  • Marketing — purpose: measuring communications effectiveness; typical duration: up to 12 months; consent required: yes.
  • Preference — purpose: remembering display and product settings; typical duration: up to 12 months; consent required: varies by cookie.

Certain features rely on third-party providers that may set their own cookies or similar technologies, including:

  • Mapbox — for rendering interactive maps and geocoding.
  • Stripe — for secure payment processing during checkout and billing management.
  • Analytics providers — for aggregate usage measurement.

These providers act under contractual terms consistent with this policy and our Privacy Policy, and their use of non-essential cookies is subject to the same consent controls described below.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent core features, such as sign-in, from working correctly.

We honor recognized Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where legally required as an indication of your preference to opt out of non-essential tracking. Because there is no uniform industry standard for Do Not Track (DNT) signals, we do not currently respond to DNT signals separately from GPC and our consent banner controls.
