Do I need GIS experience to use it?

Accepted Answer

No. There is no SQL, no shapefiles and no layer configuration to learn. You type a question, Georithm assembles the data behind the scenes, and you review the answer on a map with a written explanation. Analysts can still drill into the underlying metrics and export raw CSV.

Where to open the next location, which market is growing fastest, how saturated a category already is in a given city, which competitors sit inside a trade area, how two or more cities compare on the same metrics, and which nearby markets are the strongest next bets based on your own location and profile.

How does the interactive map work?

The map is Mapbox-powered with toggleable layers for a demographic heatmap, competitor markers and place labels. AI answers fly the map to the recommended market automatically, and the map expands when you collapse the sidebar so you can work full width.

Which countries and cities are covered?

Georithm currently covers the United States and Canada. That includes every US city above roughly 100,000 residents — 342 cities at present — plus major Canadian metropolitan areas and census subdivisions.

Where does the data come from?

Demographics come from the US Census American Community Survey and Statistics Canada census profiles. Competitor and amenity points of interest come from OpenStreetMap via Overpass. Climate and seasonality come from Open-Meteo. Geocoding and base maps come from Mapbox. Each report lists the sources it used, and the Data Sources & Attribution page documents licensing.

How current is the data?

Competitor, climate and geocoding data are fetched live when you run a query. Census demographics follow the publication cadence of the statistical agencies, so they update when the agencies release new estimates rather than continuously.

Can I see the competitors behind a score?

Yes. Every market view includes a competitor table with counts, distance from your chosen point, the business categories matched, and a link back to the underlying source map features so you can verify anything yourself.

What is the Georithm Score?

It is a single 0–100 figure that combines demand density, population growth, competitive saturation, income and affordability, and risk factors such as climate exposure. It exists to make candidate markets comparable on one scale.

Is the score a black box?

No. Each report breaks the score into its weighted components, shows the measured value behind every component, and includes a written narrative explaining which factors moved the result up or down. You can see exactly why one city outranked another.

Should I make a decision on the score alone?

No. Georithm is decision support, not professional advice. The score reflects public data and AI reasoning, and it cannot see your lease terms, brand strength, operations or local knowledge. Treat it as a fast, defensible shortlist — then validate the shortlist on the ground.

Can I save work and come back to it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can save locations, build scenarios that capture a city plus business types plus a radius, and reopen them later. Saved locations keep periodic snapshots so you can track how a market moves over time.

Can I compare several markets side by side?

Compare mode puts saved locations next to each other on the same metrics, including how each one has changed since earlier snapshots.

Every report can be exported as a branded PDF or as raw CSV from the Exports page. PDF suits stakeholder circulation; CSV suits your own modelling.

What do automated alerts do?

You set a condition on a market — for example competition inside 5 km rising above a threshold — choose a cadence and timezone, and Georithm evaluates it on schedule and emails you when it fires. Alert history logs every run with its inputs, computed values and a plain-English explanation of why it fired or did not.

How much does Georithm cost?

Pricing is in pounds sterling across four tiers. Starter suits solo founders, consultants and researchers. Professional adds competitor mapping, trade area analysis and team collaboration for three users. Business adds the advanced Georithm Resilience Score, risk and infrastructure analysis, white-label reports, SSO and higher API limits. Enterprise is contract-based and typically £2,500–£5,000+ per month. Current figures are on the pricing section of the home page.

Is there a free option?

You can start free and run AI location searches, view interactive maps and see basic demographic insights with a limited Georithm Score and up to ten saved projects.

Which features are gated by plan?

Accepted Answer

Saved scenarios, sharing and report exports require Professional or above. Advanced risk, supply chain and labour market intelligence, white-label reporting and SSO sit on Business. Gating is enforced automatically from your live subscription status, so an upgrade unlocks features immediately.

How are payments handled, and can I get a refund?

Payments and invoices run through Stripe; card details never touch Georithm's servers. You can view invoices, change tier or cancel from the Billing page. Refund eligibility is set out in the Refund Policy.

Can I add VAT details to my invoices?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Add your company name, address and VAT or tax ID in billing details and they appear on every invoice.

Can my team share a workspace?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Team workspaces support multi-user seats with role-based permissions and email invitations. Professional includes three seats and Business scales to ten or more; Enterprise is unlimited.

Is there an API?

Yes. Georithm exposes a REST API for reports and map queries with hashed API keys, per-key rate limits and documentation in the Developer Console. Limited access is included on Professional, higher limits on Business, and Enterprise usage is contract-based.

Can AI agents connect to Georithm?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Georithm runs an OAuth-protected Model Context Protocol server, so a compatible AI agent can search markets, list and save locations, and read your scenarios and alerts while acting as you — only after you approve access on a consent screen.

How is my data protected?

Accepted Answer

Data is isolated per account with row-level security, access to sensitive routines is restricted to trusted server code, and two-factor authentication via TOTP is available. Security posture is monitored with automated regression checks, and vulnerabilities can be reported through the Security Disclosure page.

Do you use cookies and can I control them?

Georithm uses a small number of cookies and asks for consent on first visit. You can revisit and change those choices at any time from Cookie Preferences.
